Purpose of the Role

Key Accountabilities

  1. Stay abreast of regulatory trends and industry developments that may impact the bank's operations, providing strategic insights to inform decision-making.
  2. Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement quality standards and policies, driving process improvements and enhancing control efficiency.
  3. Develop and present reports on control performance, communicating findings to senior stakeholders and driving data-driven decision-making.
  4. Participate in projects aimed at improving control efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging expertise to drive business outcomes.
  5. Work closely with Control Owners to design and manage Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA), ensuring controls are effective, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  6. Support operational teams in managing incidents, departmental procedures, record management, and controls testing, ensuring seamless execution and minimizing risk.
  7. Identify opportunities to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures to support the control and governance agenda, driving business growth and minimizing risk.
  8. Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls, ensuring the bank's operations are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  9. Conduct complex analysis of data from multiple sources, internal and external, to inform business decisions and drive process improvements.
