We are seeking a Specialist Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Cancer Service team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

The post holder will provide a specialist pharmacy service to the oncology and clinical haematology specialties, working closely with the Senior Specialist Pharmacists and multidisciplinary team members to provide excellent patient care.

The main duties of the job include providing clinical screening of chemotherapy prescriptions and medicine management for oncology and haematology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The post holder will also be an non-medical prescriber and will prescribe chemotherapy for either oncology or haematology patients.

Additionally, the post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to high-level clinical and service delivery projects supported by senior members of the Pharmacy team.

About the Role

The Specialist Pharmacist will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing pharmaceutical services to oncology and haematology patients.

The ideal candidate will have significant post-registration training and experience in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice, with a focus on cancer chemotherapy therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical screening of chemotherapy prescriptions and medicine management for oncology and haematology patients
  • Prescribe chemotherapy for oncology or haematology patients
  • Contribute to high-level clinical and service delivery projects

Requirements

  • Masters degree in pharmacy or equivalent
  • Member of GPhC
  • Certificate in Pharmacy Practice
  • Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice
