Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Specialist to join our team at Precedo Healthcare Services. As a key member of our residential support team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and Encourage: Provide emotional support and encouragement to children in our care, helping them to develop essential life skills and build confidence.
  • Communication Skills: Utilize excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Complex Needs: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of conditions such as Autism, developmental delays, physical disabilities, and the emotional effects these may have on children and families.
  • De-escalation Techniques: Employ effective de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations and promote a safe and supportive environment.
  • Personal Care Support: Provide support with personal care needs, ensuring the dignity and well-being of each child.
