Child Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Child Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who require mental health support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality interventions, risk assessments, and care planning. You will work closely with children, families, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
This is a permanent, part-time position with a salary of £37,338 - £44,962 per annum (pro rata). We offer a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, treatment, and discharge services for children and young people with mental health issues
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals
- Participate in a duty rota, including receipt and screening of referrals, obtaining further information, and responding to emergency requests
- Registered/accredited with a professional body (e.g., NMC, SW England, UKCP, HCPC, BACP)
- Recognized qualification in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy)
- Experience working with children and young people with mental health difficulties
- Ability to assess and manage risk, including safeguarding
- Familiarity with evidence-based practice and clinical governance principles
