Our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit at Atherleigh Park Hospital, Leigh, is currently recruiting a skilled and dedicated professional to fill this critical role.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract until March 2025 to cover maternity leave. As a Therapist for Complex Mental Health Needs, you will form part of a well-established team working across five wards in a cutting-edge hospital. Your main responsibilities will involve managing a daily caseload of clients with acute and complex mental health needs and participating in discharge planning processes.

You will be expected to conduct thorough assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Additionally, you will supervise Occupational Therapy students and uphold the principles of the College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in relevant health settings and provide evidence of evidence-based practice in their application. A Fieldwork Educators Qualification and postgraduate studies in a related field would be beneficial.

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, an excellent pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, and wellbeing programme.
