About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Calibration Engineer to join our Electrical team at BAE Systems. As an expert in high-level electrical test and measurement, you will be responsible for performing and supervising calibration of electrical test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) including resource management and calibration workload signoff.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Writing, reviewing and approving calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets
  • Taking part in UKAS (ISO 17025) audits and achieving UKAS signatory status
  • Delivering on-the-job training and experiential learning to apprentices and less experienced team members
  • Communicating with technical stakeholders on new measurement technologies

Your Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in precision electrical metrology laboratory environments and understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025 / ISO 9001). A relevant academic qualification (STEM Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent) is also required.

Benefits:

You will receive a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
