Job Title: Senior Engineer - Metrology (Electrical Calibration)

Salary: £40,000+

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer - Metrology (Electrical Calibration) to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Calibration department, you will play a vital role in supporting 30,000 pieces of equipment per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-end calibrations and repairs on a wide range of electrical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
  • Deliver targeted on-the-job training and experiential learning to ICS Electrical team members and apprentices/graduates.
  • Assume deputising responsibilities for the ICS Electrical team leader as required, including people/resource management, workflow management, and workload sign-off.
  • Develop and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets.
  • Participate in quality audits, aiming to achieve UKAS signatory status.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in precision electrical calibration/metrology laboratory environments.
  • Understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001).
  • Relevant academic qualification (STEM degree, HNC/HND or equivalent).
