Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bursary Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the processing of all bursary applications, ensuring that evidence provided by students is correct and appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process all bursary applications in accordance with established procedures and College policy.
  • Verify and ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of submitted evidence from students.
  • Track, monitor, and report on bursary applications.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions and Attendance Manager to allocate bursary applications fairly and transparently.
  • Enter accurate data into the College Management Information System and complete related administrative tasks within specified deadlines.
  • Facilitate the loan of bursary-purchased laptops to students.
  • Update transport information.
  • Coordinate all college transport mailings.
  • Provide timely and high-quality reports and communication as required.
  • Serve as the primary contact for transport queries from parents and students, both internally and externally.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Team-oriented ethos.
