About the Role

Tarmac, the UK's leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business, is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join its team at the Tarmac Tilbury Wharf site in East London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Securing Tarmac's Ships in dock
  • Working at height on the conveyors across the ships and across water
  • Operating Mobile Plant on site
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure customers receive good quality material and on-time deliveries
  • Assisting the Supervisor in meeting daily/weekly production targets
  • Ensuring Plant both fixed and mobile conforms with safety requirements at all times
  • Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
  • Inspecting the plant and implementing remedial action
  • Maximizing plant availability
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping around the site

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of working with Ships/Vessels
  • Knowledge and experience of Plant operations – both mobile and fixed plant
  • Confidence working at height and near water
  • Good Timekeeping – flexible to meet site requirements
  • Good Communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
