About the Role

Tarmac is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at our Tilbury Wharf site in East London. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our ship docking and conveyance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Securing Tarmac's ships in dock
  • Working at height on conveyors across ships and water
  • Operating mobile plant on site
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure timely deliveries and high-quality materials
  • Assisting the Supervisor in meeting daily and weekly production targets
  • Ensuring adherence to SHE policies and procedures
  • Conducting inspections and implementing remedial action as needed
  • Maximizing plant availability and maintaining high housekeeping standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a marine, maritime, dock, asphalt, RMX, plant, quarry, or industrial manufacturing environment (training will be provided)
  • Comfortable working at height and around water
  • Good timekeeping and flexibility to meet site requirements
  • Effective communication skills and ability to bring problems to the attention of line management
