About the Role

Tarmac is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at our Tilbury Wharf site in East London. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our ship unloading and conveying operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Securing Tarmac's ships in dock
  • Working at height on conveyors across ships and water
  • Operating mobile plant on site
  • Ensuring stock levels are maintained and replenished
  • Assisting the Supervisor in meeting daily/weekly production targets
  • Following SHE policies and procedures
  • Ensuring plant safety and compliance
  • Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
  • Inspecting plant and implementing remedial action
  • Maximizing plant availability
  • Maintaining high site housekeeping standards

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of working with ships/vessels
  • Knowledge and experience of plant operations – both mobile and fixed plant
  • Confident working at height and near water
  • Good timekeeping and flexibility
  • Good communication skills
