About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Volunteering and Community Development Manager to join our team at Killerton, a 6,400-acre property with a diverse range of landscapes and attractions. As a key member of our property leadership team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to engage with our communities and increase volunteer participation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to volunteering, including volunteer recruitment, management, and retention strategies.
  • Work closely with property leadership peers and their teams to ensure effective delivery of the property business plan.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the National Trust's mission and values.
  • Support the General Manager in developing an inclusive culture and embedding the 'Everyone Welcome' value.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to volunteering and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in community engagement, participation, and partnership working.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislative requirements relating to volunteering.
  • Ability to build effective and collaborative relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
