Business Rates Manager

Lead the Business Rates Team, overseeing the rate payment process and monitoring performance.
You will identify and implement rates mitigation schemes across client portfolios, charging fees where applicable.
Liaise with clients' appointed rating providers and the Property Management team to ensure accurate information reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the rates payment process, reconciling payment reports and chasing funding where required.
- Implement mitigation schemes, liaising with Property Managers, obtaining quotes, approvals, monitoring occupation, claims, and fees.
- Liaise with Client Ratings Advisors regarding appeals and reconciling accounts, obtaining refunds where necessary.
- Oversee the Administration team's day-to-day roles, advising on reminders and summons, and approve demands raised.
- Complete various monthly reports.
- Reconcile all accounts and obtain accurate refunds.
- Liaise with Property Managers and clients regarding liability disputes between tenants and landlords.
- Experience managing a team.
- Business rates knowledge – MRICS (preferable).
- Property Management systems knowledge.
- Hybrid working to offer a great work-life balance, with a minimum of three days in the office.
- A full-time contract (35 hours a week) offers core hours of 10am – 4pm, allowing additional flexibility.
