About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Social Worker to join our Rough Sleeping Team at the City of London. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive and informed social work service to rough sleepers and those experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess individual needs and develop comprehensive plans to support rough sleepers and those experiencing homelessness.
  • Work collaboratively with City colleagues and external support services to manage risk, safeguard vulnerable people, and promote positive outcomes.
  • Deliver excellent social work practice, including partnership work with support networks and other professionals.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to student social workers and less experienced practitioners to develop best practice and confident practitioners.
  • Occasionally attend early morning or late evening outreach shifts to work with clients from the streets.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Applied social worker experience and a keen interest and knowledge of the homelessness sector.
  • A flexible approach to working with rough sleepers and the ability to work collaboratively with City colleagues and external support services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality social work practice and promoting positive outcomes for rough sleepers and those experiencing homelessness.
