About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team at the City of London Corporation, specifically in the Department of Communities and Children Services. This role will be a key part of our efforts to address rough sleeping and homelessness in the City.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive and informed social work service to rough sleepers and those experiencing homelessness.
  • Assess individual needs, produce comprehensive plans, and work purposefully with a small caseload.
  • Collaborate with City colleagues and external support services to manage risk, safeguard vulnerable people, and promote positive outcomes.
  • Work with the Homelessness Strength Based Practitioner to provide enhanced and personalized support to those on your shared caseload.
  • Develop and implement best practice and confident practitioners through coaching and mentoring of student social workers and less experienced practitioners.
Requirements
  • Applied social worker experience and a keen interest and knowledge of the homelessness sector.
  • Flexible approach to working with rough sleepers and ability to work collaboratively with City colleagues and external support services.
  • Excellent social work practice skills, including assessment, planning, and intervention.
  • Ability to work with vulnerable adults and manage risk effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
