About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Support Worker to join our Housing First team. As a Specialist Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering direct support to a small group of young people with complex needs, aged 16-21 years, who are living in the community.

Our team provides 24/7 support to ensure the safety, stability, and well-being of our clients. You will work closely with the young people to identify their personal goals and develop person-centered plans to achieve them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct support to a small group of young people with complex needs
  • Work closely with the young people to identify their personal goals and develop person-centered plans
  • Provide 24/7 support to ensure the safety, stability, and well-being of our clients
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting our clients
Requirements:
  • Experience of supporting Looked After Children or homeless and/or vulnerable adults
  • Experience of working within a fast-moving and challenging working environment in the areas of mental health, care for young people, alcohol and drug use, independent living support
  • High level of communication skills, both verbally and in writing, using Microsoft Office applications
  • Full current driving licence or alternative means of transport
  • NISCC registered (or willing to become registered if appointed)
