Job Title: Relief Specialist Support Worker

At Positive Futures, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Relief Specialist Support Worker to join our team. As a Relief Specialist Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, or autism.

About the Role:

The Relief Specialist Support Worker will be responsible for:

  • Providing person-centered support to individuals with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, or autism
  • Developing and implementing individualized support plans to promote independence and choice
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless support
  • Managing behaviors of concern through the implementation of Positive Behavior Support
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to individuals and their families
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One of the following qualifications: QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and a minimum of 1 year's experience in a health and social care setting, or QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and social care setting, or a Psychology Degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and social care setting, or 3 years' experience in a health or social care setting
  • Previous experience developing and implementing person-centered support plans (Care Plans)
  • At least 1 year's experience of working with people with a learning disability or autism
  • At least 1 year's experience in managing behaviors of concern through the implementation of Positive Behavior Support
  • Full, valid driving license or an ability to travel independently to meet the requirements of the post
  • Be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment, on the appropriate part of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) or other relevant professional body
