We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a low secure hospital in Ayr, Scotland. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with mental illness and/or personality disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to promote recovery and well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff and students, promoting professional development and growth.
- Lead the development and implementation of occupational therapy services, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Design and deliver therapeutic activities to promote patient engagement and empowerment.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Offer practical support, advice, and education to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Relevant clinical experience in mental health settings.
- Extensive knowledge of occupational therapy frameworks and approaches.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and ability to work independently.
- Specialist knowledge of assessment and treatment models for mental health conditions.
- Experience working with neurodiverse individuals and populations.
