Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Group Sales Director to lead our MICE sales team across the UK and Europe. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and retaining new business, growing profitability through individual sales performance, and managing the full delivery of our MICE preferred partnership programme.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of regional MICE sales managers and executives to ensure individual and departmental goals are achieved
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of agent and end-user booker accounts, working with the Group Director of Sales and Group Operations Director to create bespoke MICE offerings
  • Lead the annual negotiation of preferred partnerships and target all MICE accounts
  • Create and fulfill Account Development plans for key accounts
  • Plan and execute sales activity, including research, telesales, site/hotel show rounds, entertaining, and client road shows
  • Contribute to monthly and annual business review reports
  • Attend relevant networking and trade show events, ensuring follow-up is done post-event

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Validated multi-property experience in the specific MICE sales areas
  • Annual international travel to key MICE trade shows, client offices, and emerging business markets
  • Regular regional travel across all geographical areas of the portfolio
