About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Professional - Public Health to join our team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison in Liverpool. This role involves providing public health services, including health promotion and education, as well as covering medication administration, triage, and emergency care.
The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare, preferably in a prison or similar setting, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. As a member of our team, you will be expected to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Covering medication administration, triage, and emergency care
- Providing public health services, including health promotion and education
- Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification
- Experience in healthcare, preferably in a prison or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £38,115 per annum FTE, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have access to comprehensive training, including our Introducing Health in Justice course, as well as regional and national career development opportunities.
