SEND Campus Coordinator

About the RoleAs a SEND Campus Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our students with special educational needs receive the support and guidance they need to thrive. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and support a team of dedicated SEND advocates, Inclusion Mentors, and coaches.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the SENCO and the team to ensure that students' needs are regularly reviewed and that students are supported to have greater independence.
- Work with the SENCO, local authorities, parents, and feeder schools to ensure a proactive approach to the special educational needs assessment process and smooth transition into College for students.
- Develop and implement individualized programs to learners within the College environment that empower them to develop strategies to overcome their difficulties and promote independence.

- Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Level 5 qualification in Autism or willingness to complete in the first year of employment.
- Level 3 Award in Teacher training.
- Level 5 Teacher Training or willingness to work towards.
- An understanding of, and demonstrable commitment to, Safeguarding Children and Young People and Vulnerable Adults.
- A good practical knowledge of EHCP and the consultation process.
- Work experience in an educational setting.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to demonstrate values and behaviours suitable to work with children and young people.
- Demonstrable commitment to Equality and Diversity, Child Protection, Safeguarding and Prevent showing a desire to challenge inequality and promote diversity and adhere to College Policies and Procedures.
