About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Michael Page Property & Construction as a Capital Works Manager, where you will play a key role in coordinating and overseeing all aspects of capital work projects across our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead planned works projects across the housing and commercial portfolio, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality outcomes.
  • Report directly to the Head of Asset Management & Development, providing regular updates and insights on project progress.
  • Manage a team of Building Surveyors and Capital Works Team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Oversee the strategic plan for external contractors delivering works, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Ensure the maintenance and construction of properties meet the highest standards, prioritizing health and safety and CDM compliance.
  • Develop and implement retrofit decarbonization projects, driving sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
  • Manage financial resources effectively, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of funds.
Requirements
  • Relevant construction qualifications and experience in the social housing sector.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team, with a strong track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, property management, and planned works programme strategies.
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
