Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Frasers Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the uptime and availability of our automated equipment on site.

As a Maintenance Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to the engineering team, coordinating activities and managing performance to meet key performance indicators (KPIs). You will also be responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring your team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the engineering team, ensuring effective planning and organisation
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members to improve performance and skills
  • Perform analysis of data sources to maintain and improve performance, maximising efficiency of operation in line with KPIs
  • Champion safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Carry out maintenance and servicing of automated equipment, including planned repairs and reactive repairs
  • Respond to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Actively work to optimise automation performance and complete reports in line with requirements
  • Support service tracking and analysis of error rates, assisting in the production of corrective action plans

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a leadership position within automation
  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Strong communication skills, able to build relationships with technical and non-technical staff
  • An inspirational leader who can coach and mentor their team to success
