Job Title: Analytical Scientist

Location: Newmarket, UK

Estimated Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum

This challenging role involves performing routine and non-routine analysis of samples in accordance with documented procedures using GC-MS, GC-FID, HPLC, or ICP equipment. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a relevant scientific discipline and possess excellent analytical skills.

About the Role:

  • Performing routine and non-routine analysis of samples.
  • Assistance in generating accurate and timely sample and QC data.
  • Maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation by following strict testing guidelines.
  • Meeting deadlines and having commercial awareness in terms of workload and prioritising.
  • Assistance in maintenance programmes for laboratory instrumentation.
  • Maintenance, storage, and labelling of reagents and standards.

Person Specification:

  • Hold a degree in a relevant scientific discipline (ideally Chemistry based).
