We are seeking an experienced Support and Guidance Specialist to join our team at the Learning Curve Group. Located in Sunderland, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our learners.

About the Role

As a Support and Guidance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing structured support to learners with additional learning needs. You will work closely with tutors and other staff members to ensure that our learners receive the best possible support and guidance to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) in a classroom and outdoor setting.
  • Aid access to a wide range of learning experiences and provide modified materials as required.
  • Offer positive reinforcement, praise, and emotional support to learners.
  • Advise and support tutors on making necessary adjustments for learners with learning support needs.
  • Ensure that Learning Support Plans and contact logs are updated accurately and timely.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to promote the well-being and personal development of our learners.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with Post 16 learners.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Post 16 learners with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP).
  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English.
  • NVQ3 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Calm and patient attitude.
