About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Communications, Marketing & Student Recruitment (CMSR) directorate. As Executive Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic communications and marketing plan that promotes the University's brand and reputation, and supports our recruitment and fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy that aligns with the University's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of communications and marketing professionals to deliver high-quality campaigns and initiatives that promote the University's brand and reputation.
  • Collaborate with faculty and departmental colleagues to develop and implement marketing and communications plans that support their recruitment and fundraising efforts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, alumni, and external partners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications and marketing initiatives, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A proven track record of developing and implementing successful communications and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in a higher education or related sector.
  • A deep understanding of the sector and policy environment, with the ability to develop and deliver strategic transformation in a large and complex organisational context.
