Job Title: Indirect Tax Manager - EMEA

The EMEA Indirect Tax Manager will report to the Global Indirect Tax Leader and be responsible for supporting all indirect tax matters in the EMEA Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategic approach of the company for indirect tax matters in EMEA, including compliance processes, VAT recovery, ESG taxes, and business technical support.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, building strong cross-functional relationships and operating as a business partner to enable new business initiatives and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with and support the global shared service centres whose responsibilities include indirect compliance and audit support.
  • Manage outsourced service providers where additional technical, process, or project support is required.
  • Partner with the tax technology team to drive transformation projects and ERP implementations, ensuring continued process optimisation and efficiencies.
  • Support tax authority communications, including tax controversy and audits.
  • Support indirect tax matters relating to business transformation and supply chain projects, including M&A integration activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislation developments and communicate to the EMEA teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably with a major in accounting, finance, or tax from an accredited institution.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting and tax.
  • Significant and relevant indirect tax experience, preferably with a 'Big 4' background.
  • Indirect tax knowledge with a broad EMEA scope, including understanding of international technical topics and the interaction between local statutory filings and tax returns.
