We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant to join our team at Tulip Recruitment on an initial temporary basis, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent.

The ideal candidate will be working closely with Solicitors, Barristers, and Legal Practitioners within the Childcare Legal Team who provide legal advice to support safeguarding children in North Somerset.

This is a full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, and will be mainly office-based in Clevedon. However, the successful candidate may be required to work at the Weston-Super-Mare office on occasions.

Key Responsibilities
  • To oversee the electronic court bundling system, ensuring:
    • Highly confidential sensitive information is securely managed and maintained.
    • Documents are accurately analysed for inclusion in bundles and relevant sections are identified.
    • Bundles and/or updates are distributed, with accurate front sheets and distribution lists.
    • Court directions are reflected in bundle spreadsheets to ensure only directed evidence is included.
    • Bundle logs are monitored for accuracy to comply with information security.
    • Final bundles are prepared for archiving.
  • To develop and maintain the system in relation to birth certificates, including:
    • Identifying required birth certificates for each case.
    • Applying for and monitoring receipt of birth certificates.
    • Logging and holding birth certificates received to team requirements.
    • Correcting discrepancies on child files and bundles, and informing the court and client department if necessary.

Estimated Salary: £32,500 - £42,500 per annum
