About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at a Barchester Healthcare care home in Colchester. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Follow individualized care plans to ensure that each resident receives tailored care and support.

Requirements:

  • Experience of caring for older people, either in a residential or community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • A can-do approach, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
