Operations Manager

The Control Manager will play a key role in helping the organisation achieve its Agile Transformational goals. This involves embedding an Agile culture, methodology, tools, and techniques to help teams maintain a delivery and learning cadence that focuses on delivering value against organisational outcomes, while remaining creative and dynamic.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide shift management of warehouse management systems to ensure KPIs and SLAs are achieved, monitoring daily workload progress and taking necessary actions to ensure timely completion.
- Manage, lead, and motivate a specialist team of Assistant Control Managers.
- Analyse issues post-resolution to accurately conclude the root cause and develop a clear action plan for resolution, ensuring issues and their resolution are documented accurately and best practices are shared with other Control Room Managers.
- Work with departmental managers, planning managers, and Knapp engineering managers to control and highlight requirements for current day and future day workload requirements.
- Manage on-site severity 1 issues with any of the Burton systems, including owning communications to senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing a technical team, IT equipment, and resolving system-related problems.
- Experience of writing/developing management reports, working with automated warehouse systems, and controlling use and repairs of IT equipment.
- Exposure to project-based work, warehouse processes, and flows, and extensive operational and people management skills.
- A self-starter who can be an ambassador for the company and functional culture.
- Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach, be able to resolve conflicts, maintain relationships, and influence performance.
