Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Recra Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical systems within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance activities on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
  • Respond promptly to equipment failures, diagnosing and repairing faults on both electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct inspections, tests, and measurements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to troubleshoot and address cross-functional issues when necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement within the engineering department.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices within the engineering field.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including unsocial hours and night shifts.
  • Possession of a recognized qualification relevant to the role, such as a mechanical or electrical City & Guilds certificate.
  • Skilled in both electrical and mechanical trades, preferably with an apprenticeship and indentures.
  • Knowledge of other engineering disciplines including pneumatics, hydraulics, and steam systems.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • PLC Knowledge is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.
Working Hours

4 on 4 off continental shift pattern - Days / Nights Rotating.
