Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a significant portion of the company's portfolio spend, focusing on direct procurement strategies to optimize costs and quality.
  • Negotiate supplier terms and pricing to mitigate risks and ensure supply continuity.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost-efficiency, quality, and delivery, aligning with business needs.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives and supplier performance management, collaborating with commercial, supply chain, and R&D teams.
  • Provide market insights and category management to inform procurement decisions.
  • Oversee the contracting process from supplier selection to final negotiation, ensuring timely innovation delivery.

Measures of Success:

  • Financial: Oversee £30-50M spend with contract approval up to £1.5M.
  • Operational: Effective supplier, SKU, and factory management.
  • Tender portfolio requirements and negotiate to secure optimal pricing.

Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in driving cost reductions and maintaining quality.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in supplier negotiation, risk management, procurement strategy, and category management.
  • Proficient in SAP and financial forecasting.
  • Strong market insight and direct procurement experience.

  • Salary: £49,850 per annum
