Purchasing Coordinator

In this dynamic role, you will coordinate the procurement and installation of various machines and related items, primarily working with large blue-chip companies. You'll liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) both in the UK and abroad and provide comprehensive support to the Operations Manager. This includes booking client visits, raising quotes, and coordinating jobs, plant, and transport. Additionally, you'll manage client enquiries and ensure all equipment meets industry test inspection standards.
You will act as the Operations Coordinator with a focus on your Purchasing/Procurement experience.
Ideal Candidate:
This position is perfect for an organised and proactive individual with a solid understanding of the heavy haulage and machine moving industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Project, and a keen awareness of health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate procurement and installation of machines for blue-chip companies
Liaise with UK-based and international OEMs
Support the Operations Manager with client visits, quotes, and coordination
Handle client enquiries via telephone
Liaise with suppliers regarding machinery purchasing and track timelines
Ensuring Risk Assessments & Method Statements are in place (RAMS)
Ensure all equipment adheres to industry inspection standards
Location - Middleton
Salary - £35k - £40k (dependent on experience)
Permanent - Full Time (Apply online only) (Mon-Fri)
