Purchasing Coordinator Role

This dynamic position involves coordinating the procurement and installation of various machines and related items, primarily working with large blue-chip companies. You will liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) both in the UK and abroad, providing comprehensive support to the Operations Manager. This includes booking client visits, raising quotes, and coordinating jobs, plant, and transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate procurement and installation of machines for blue-chip companies
  • Liaise with UK-based and international OEMs
  • Support the Operations Manager with client visits, quotes, and coordination
  • Handle client enquiries via telephone
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding machinery purchasing and track timelines
  • Ensure Risk Assessments & Method Statements are in place (RAMS)
  • Ensure all equipment adheres to industry inspection standards

Requirements:

  • Organised and proactive individual with a solid understanding of the heavy haulage and machine moving industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project
  • Keen awareness of health and safety regulations
