Job Title: Aerodynamic Performance Engineer

Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited is seeking a highly skilled Aerodynamic Performance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Aerodynamics department, you will be responsible for designing and developing components for our 60% wind tunnel model.

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for using our 3D CAD system to design and manufacture components for our wind tunnel model. You will work closely with our Aerodynamics team to ensure that our designs meet the required standards and are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop components for our 60% wind tunnel model using our 3D CAD system.
  • Work closely with our Aerodynamics team to ensure that our designs meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to plan and release parts for manufacture.
  • Proactively drive collaboration with other departments to build positive relationships that support a culture of high performance and innovative practices.
  • Collate and report back on project updates and key performance metrics.

Requirements:

  • Degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent).
  • Proficient in the use of a 3D CAD package (experience using Siemens NX would be beneficial).
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and proactively seek support from Senior team members or mentors as required.
  • Understanding of design for manufacture and the requirement to balance functionality against cost.
