Job Overview

This role will focus on the design of components for use throughout the Aerodynamics department, to include the wind tunnel model, full size car & R&D parts. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing design and development direction on all aspects of the company's Wind Tunnel models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement design strategies to improve aerodynamic performance.
  • Ensure that standard design practices are adhered to for all drawings issued within the aerodynamics department.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design and development.
  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineers.
  • Contribute to the development of the Aerodynamics department's strategic plan and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and partners.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in aerodynamics design, preferably in the motorsport industry.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, including 3D modeling and simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
