Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing operation and maintenance of mechanical installations, including TBMs, ensuring high levels of production and machine availability. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and maintaining current installations, including TBMs.
- Managing spare parts and working closely with store personnel.
- Providing technical support and guidance to Fitters and Electricians.
- Developing and implementing effective maintenance schedules.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong technical background in plant maintenance, welding, and fabrication, with experience in the tunnelling, underground, and heavy plant sectors. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage interfaces with production teams are essential. A minimum bachelor's degree (grade 2:1 minimum) in mechanical engineering or equivalent is required. Estimated salary £70,000 - £85,000 per annum.
