The Opportunity

We're experiencing rapid growth in all business sectors and looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Design team. Based at our Head Office in Blackburn, the successful candidate will support the Design team in delivering design packages on all projects.


This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skillset and become a Design Manager within a two-year timescale. The role involves assisting the Project Leader and/or Design Manager in managing the design process, identifying and scoping external consultants and contractors, and managing their design delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of the design process using commercial, contractual, program/time awareness, and technical expertise.
  • Identify, scope, and appoint external consultants and contractors needed for project delivery.
  • Manage their design delivery, maintaining pace with project timescales.
  • Assist in Town and Country Planning processes.
  • Plan, chair, and record meetings, minuting key progress and decisions.
  • Assist the design team in producing information, maintaining pace with project timescales.
  • Eliminate or reduce health and safety risks in the design.
  • Eliminate or reduce financial risks during the construction process.
  • Operate in accordance with Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental Management Systems and other agreed procedures.
  • Maintain good relations with internal colleagues, installation, and project teams.
  • Liaise with clients on work-related issues.
  • Support the input of CDM detail within the company's processes and legislation.

Requirements

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to develop close working relationships.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Bachelors/Master's degree in an engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture.
  • Can-do attitude, flare for innovation, and knowledge of working on construction projects.
