Cellular Pathology Department Assistant

The Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Cellular Pathology Department Assistant. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the Consultant and junior medical staff, as well as laboratory-based staff, in delivering an efficient, effective, and comprehensive service in the cellular pathology department.

About the role:
- Assist Consultant and junior medical staff with various administrative tasks, including typing letters, second opinions, histology and cytology reports, and other related tasks.
- Provide secretarial support to laboratory managers, ensuring that they are able to manage their workload effectively in a busy environment.
- Manage own workload effectively, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to meet the needs of the department.

Key requirements:
- Educated to GCSE level with English Language, Maths, and IT skills
- Trained to use Microsoft Office package
- Experience working as a medical secretary or in a similar administrative role
- Ability to work flexibly and cover other office staff absences
