About the Role

Save the Children UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to lead our Chester shop. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse team of volunteers, maintaining high standards, and building strong connections within the local community.

About You

We are looking for someone with exceptional people skills, a leader who understands the importance of community and enjoys supporting people to exercise similar passions through volunteering. You will bring:

  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams, ideally having managed volunteers, or a retail team previously
  • A strong understanding of what good looks like in a busy and successful community-led shop, ideally with some experience within Retail or a clear passion for sustainable fashion and knowledge of products and trends
  • A can-do attitude and ability to approach challenges in a positive way, knowing when to reach out for support and guidance where you need it
  • Enthusiasm to create positive results, be detailed focused and add your own touch by being creative
Ways of Working

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.
