Job Title: Team Manager for Children with Disabilities

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Team Manager to join our Children with Disabilities Team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Medway.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Team Manager to lead a team of social workers responsible for safeguarding and promoting the best interests of disabled children and young adults. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering the council's vision for Children's Social Care, ensuring the objectives and priorities are realised.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Line manage, support, and coach a team of experienced social workers to achieve high-quality outcomes for disabled children and young adults.
  • Contribute to the management of staffing budget for the team, approving and committing expenditure within delegated authority.
  • Support the safer recruitment and selection of new staff, ensuring staffing levels are maintained.
  • Provide an effective service to disabled children, young people, and their families, ensuring assessments, statutory visits, and planned reviews are completed to a high standard.
  • Supervise students on placement and Newly Qualified Social Workers, where appropriate.
  • Stay up-to-date with the Council's organisational policies, government guidance, legislation, research, and national trends to maintain the highest professional standards.
