We are looking for an experienced Benefits Control and Revenue Manager to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. This is a temporary full-time contract based in Lewisham.

The successful candidate will oversee the team's activities, ensuring all tasks are completed as per job descriptions. They will also be responsible for communicating regularly with the Business Rates Support & Development Manager regarding Housing Benefit, Council Tax, and Business Rates performance.

This role involves overseeing the Revenues and Benefits year-end reconciliation and annual billing process. The individual must guarantee that accurate bills and benefit award letters are generated according to legislative requirements.

Applicants should have previous experience in a comparable role within a local authority, with excellent knowledge of relevant legislation governing Housing Benefit, Council Tax, and Business Rates. Expertise in Housing Benefit subsidy is essential.

Salary: £30 per hour (umbrella).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to ensure all tasks are completed according to job descriptions.
  • Provide regular updates to the Business Rates Support & Development Manager on system-related issues.
  • Oversee the Revenues and Benefits year-end reconciliation and annual billing process.
  • Guarantee accurate bills and benefit award letters are produced.
  • Address user inquiries and provide technical guidance.
  • Manage all third-party contract relationships.
