We are seeking two highly skilled Staff Scientists to join our dynamic Central Oxford Structural Molecular Imaging Centre (COSMIC). As a Staff Scientist, you will play a crucial role in the efficient running of our flagship cryo-electron microscopy facility, contributing to the maintenance of our cutting-edge equipment, training users, and engaging in collaborative research projects.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Microscope Facility Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our cryo-electron microscopes and other equipment.
- Train users on the operation of our equipment and provide technical support.
- Engage in collaborative research projects with our team and external partners.
- Work with our Computational team to support the development and maintenance of our servers and provide user support.
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic scientists with a strong background in cryo-electron microscopy. You should hold a minimum of a BSc in a relevant area of science and have excellent organisational and communication skills. You will be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team.
