About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Trust's financial planning and reporting functions, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information.



Key Responsibilities



  • Manage the Trust's income and expenditure, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts, providing informed advice to senior management
  • Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to financial processes
  • Provide financial guidance and support to non-financial staff, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies


Requirements



  • degree in accounting or finance
  • experience in financial planning and reporting, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels
  • proficiency in financial software, including spreadsheets and accounting packages
