Job Title: Credit Controller

At Frasers Group, we are pushing the boundaries of retail excellence. As a Credit Controller, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales team by managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contact customers via phone and email to discuss account details and resolve any issues related to overdue invoices.
  • Accurately record all actions taken and customer responses on account records to ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Process daily BACS payments and cheque payments weekly, ensuring that all transactions are handled promptly and accurately.
  • Oversee the monthly statement run and respond to customer emails and queries related to their statements.
  • Update the cash flow report daily with current figures to provide accurate financial forecasting.
  • Enter all transfer and credit card payments into the system, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Reconcile customer accounts to ensure that statements are accurate and that all cash and credit notes are correctly posted and allocated.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to address and resolve any queries or disputes regarding customer accounts.
  • Manage all credit control email inboxes, ensuring that daily queries are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Identify potential problem accounts and work closely with the finance manager to record and log these accounts for further review.
  • Set up new customer accounts, including conducting credit checks to assess financial stability.
  • Place customer accounts on hold when invoices are overdue by more than 90 days, ensuring compliance with the company's credit control policies.

Requirements:
  • Attention to detail to process customers' financial details accurately.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, demonstrating organisation and prioritisation.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role and strong verbal and written communication.
