About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Operations Supervisor to join our team at Uber Boat by Thames Clippers. As a Catering Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services on board our fleet of high-speed catamarans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all catering staff have the necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Maintain an audit log of equipment, absence, lateness, holidays, staff performance, uniform, and food/hygiene standards.
  • Assist the Catering Manager with performance management and provide a 'world-class' standard of customer service.
  • Support the Master/Mate/DCSA in emergency situations and participate in monthly drills.
  • Deputize for managers and fulfill catering staff shifts as required.
  • Train new team members in procedures and aspects of their role.
  • Manage a team of up to 15 catering staff to deliver department targets.
  • Oversee the cleaning program and ensure vessels are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer/food service or retail environment.
  • Natural leadership skills to inspire operational teams to deliver results.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize work.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and establish good professional relationships.
  • Food hygiene certificate – Level 2.
  • Knowledge of the industry and surrounding areas/attractions.
