HR and Learning & Development Manager

Medlock Partners is proud to partner with a reputable and successful nationwide construction business in identifying an exceptional HR and Learning & Development Manager to join their team.

About the Role

This brand new role has been created to support the evolving needs of the business, following a period of positive change. The successful candidate will report directly to the People Director and play a crucial part in enhancing employee Learning & Development capabilities aligned with the business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate current L&D processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement the L&D strategy, working closely with the People Director.
  • Deliver training, primarily Leadership & Management training, and collaborate with managers to create individual learning plans.
  • Identify and implement innovative methods for delivering training and learning to maximize benefits for employees and the business.
  • Manage apprenticeship programs and maintain the Apprentice Levy account.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced L&D or HR professional, with a background in construction, manufacturing, or engineering. They will be willing to travel to different sites and maintain visibility across the entire business.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience in L&D or HR, ideally at a similar level.
  • Ability to gather data and insights to identify learning needs and continuously improve content.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
