About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The successful candidate will work closely with our Consultant Psychologist to ensure the quality of our psychological provision and develop psychological knowledge and skills across our workforce.

The team are passionate about ensuring the child's voice is central to the work they do and working in partnership with families and other partner agencies to achieve the outcomes desired by the child or young person. We strive for high-quality and innovative practice.

Main Duties:

  • Work closely with the Consultant Psychologist to ensure the quality of psychological provision
  • Develop psychological knowledge and skills across the workforce
  • Work in partnership with families and other partner agencies to achieve desired outcomes

Person Specification:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology
  • Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner (Clinical) Psychologist
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity
  • Ability to develop and use complex multi-media materials for presentations in public, professional, and academic settings

Additional Criteria:

  • Ability to identify, provide, and promote appropriate means of support to carers and staff exposed to highly distressing situations
  • Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management
