Mechanical Engineering Manager to Workington Mill

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our team at the Workington Mill. As a key member of our Engineering Management Team, you will be responsible for leading and developing the mechanical engineering function to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our mill.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the mechanical engineering team to achieve business objectives
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the mill's mechanical systems
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize production
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Manage budgets and resources to achieve business objectives
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Education to HND (or equivalent) in Engineering, or vast experience in a management position
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
- Excellent knowledge and competence in maintenance engineering
- Understanding of failure analysis and maintenance strategy
- Good knowledge of plant processes and equipment
- Computer literate with working knowledge of 'Windows Office' suite
