Junior Sous Chef Opportunity at The Ned

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team at The Ned, a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play a key role in leading the daily operation of one of our kitchens, working closely with the sous and head chef to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the production of food, compiling the daily mise-en-place, and ensuring that all food is cooked and presented to our exceptional standards.
  • Support people leadership tasks, including team recruitment, development, and performance chats, onboarding new starters.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, providing coaching and feedback to the team where needed.
  • Create and monitor a safe and clean kitchen environment, protecting our guests and team from any possible harm.
  • Protect our excellent food safety ratings and audit standards by keeping a close eye on procedures and practices, keeping impeccable records, and implementing action plans where necessary.
